Gongdeok Station Luggage Lockers: Location, Prices & How to Use (2026)

Traveling around Seoul with a heavy suitcase can get exhausting pretty quickly.

If you’re staying near Mapo or passing through Gongdeok Station, there are luggage lockers inside the station where you can leave your bags while exploring Seoul.

I visited Gongdeok Station myself in August 2026 and checked the lockers in person, including the exact location, prices, operating hours, and instructions for storing and retrieving luggage.

Here’s what you need to know.

How long can you leave your luggage?

According to the notice posted at the lockers, luggage can be stored for up to 5 days.

If an item is left beyond the permitted period, it may be moved to separate storage. The posted notice lists a ₩49,000 monthly storage fee for separately stored items.

For most travelers, though, these lockers make the most sense for short-term storage while sightseeing, shopping, or waiting for hotel check-in.

What can’t you store?

The posted rules prohibit certain items, including:

  • Flammable materials
  • Explosives and weapons
  • Perishable food
  • Batteries and chemicals

For normal travel items such as suitcases, backpacks, and shopping bags, the lockers are a convenient option.

Is Gongdeok Station luggage storage convenient?

Yes — especially if you’re already staying around Gongdeok or Mapo, or if Gongdeok Station is on your route through Seoul.

One of the biggest advantages is that you don’t need to leave the station and search for a separate luggage storage shop.

And once you know the landmark, finding the lockers is fairly straightforward.

Exits 2 & 5 area → central stairs/escalator → 7-Eleven → luggage lockers

That’s probably the easiest route to remember.

If you have a few hours before hotel check-in or after check-out, leaving your suitcase here can make exploring Seoul much easier.
